Terms of Service
Effective September 3, 2026 · SnapHound
These Terms are a legal agreement between you and SnapHound ("we", "us") governing your use of the SnapHound app and services (the "Service"). By creating an account, accepting an invitation, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1.Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority where you live) and able to form a binding contract. If you use the Service on behalf of a company, you represent that you are authorized to bind that company to these Terms.
2.The Service
SnapHound lets you capture, name, organize, annotate, and store inspection photos and videos, and share them with teammates in an organization. Features may change over time.
3.Accounts and teams
- You must provide accurate information and keep your credentials secure; you are responsible for activity under your account.
- An organization has an Owner (who manages billing), Admins, and Members. Admins can invite people, manage roles, and remove members; the Owner controls ownership and billing.
- Content created within an organization belongs to that organization. Removing a member does not delete their work — it remains with the organization, keeping the original creator's name.
- You may delete your account at any time in the app, subject to the retention terms in the Privacy Policy.
4.Your content
You (or your organization) retain ownership of the photos, videos, and other content you submit ("Your Content"). You grant us a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive license to host, store, process, transmit, and display Your Content solely to operate and provide the Service to you and your organization. You represent that you have the rights and any necessary permissions or consents to capture and upload Your Content — including consent to photograph people or property where required — and that Your Content does not violate any law or third-party right.
5.Acceptable use
You agree not to: use the Service unlawfully or to store unlawful content; upload malware; attempt to access accounts, organizations, or data that are not yours; probe, disrupt, or overload the Service; reverse-engineer or copy it except as permitted by law; or resell or provide the Service to third parties except as intended (inviting your own teammates).
6.Copyright and DMCA
We respect intellectual-property rights and expect you to do the same. If you believe content on the Service infringes your copyright, send a notice to contact@snaphoundapp.com that includes: your contact information; identification of the copyrighted work; identification of the material you claim is infringing and where it is located on the Service; a statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorized by the owner, its agent, or the law; a statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the owner or authorized to act on the owner's behalf; and your physical or electronic signature. We will respond as required by the Digital Millennium Copyright Act, may remove material we believe infringes, and will terminate repeat infringers where appropriate.
7.Subscriptions and billing
Some features are or will be offered as a paid subscription. When billing is enabled, plans and prices will be presented at purchase (handled through our web billing provider), and the app itself does not charge you. A free trial, if offered, is limited to one per person. If a subscription lapses, access may become read-only until it is renewed, and data may be removed after a disclosed grace period.
8.Third-party services
The Service relies on third parties (including Supabase, Cloudflare, Resend, Expo, Apple, and Google) and on your device's app store, whose terms also apply to your use. We are not responsible for third-party services.
9.Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that data will never be lost. You are responsible for keeping your own copies of important records.
10.Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SNAPHOUND WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS OR DATA. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF the amounts you paid us for the Service in the 12 months before the claim or $100. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
11.Indemnification
You will indemnify and hold SnapHound harmless from claims arising out of Your Content or your violation of these Terms or of any law or third-party right, to the extent permitted by law.
12.Termination
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or to protect the Service or other users. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (ownership, disclaimers, liability limits, indemnity) survive.
13.General
These Terms and the Privacy Policy are the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Service and supersede any prior agreements on the subject. If any provision is held unenforceable, the remaining provisions stay in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it. You may not assign these Terms without our consent; we may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets. These Terms create no third-party beneficiaries. We are not responsible for delays or failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control. We may give you notices through the app or by email; you may contact us at contact@snaphoundapp.com. Section headings are for convenience only.
14.Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms; we will post the updated version and, for material changes, provide reasonable notice. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept them.
15.Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Nebraska, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules, and you and we submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Nebraska.
